Home Visits

If you need a home visit please indicate the urgency. Remember the doctor will have a full surgery which may also contain urgent cases and so is rarely in a position to attend straight away. It may be possible to see you more quickly if you are prepared to travel up to surgery. In a true emergency, calling an ambulance is likely to be more appropriate.

For routine visits try to ensure you have contacted reception before 10:30am. This will help the doctors share and plan their visits after morning surgery and you are more likely to see the doctor of your choice if you have one.

Please remember visits are for those patients who are housebound or are too ill to go out. Wherever possible please try and come to surgery as this provides a more efficient service for all our patients and can often help the doctor assess your condition better.

Providing the reception staff with some information about the nature of your problem will also help the doctors in allocating your visit.
