If you need a home visit please indicate the urgency. Remember the Clinician will have a full surgery which may also contain urgent cases and so is rarely in a position to attend straight away. It may be possible to see you more quickly if you are prepared to travel up to surgery. In a true emergency, calling an ambulance is likely to be more appropriate.
For routine visits try to ensure you have contacted reception before 10:30am. This will help the clinicians share and plan their visits after morning surgery.
Please remember visits are for those patients who are housebound or are too ill to go out. Wherever possible please try and come to surgery as this provides a more efficient service for all our patients and can often help the Clinician assess your condition better.
Providing the reception staff with some information about the nature of your problem will also help the doctors in allocating your visit.
